Nourishment of different pets. RabbitsRabbits in their natural environment are group animals living in burrows. They feed during the day and at dusk. They are not rodents but they belong to the Leporidae family. Domesticated rabbits come from European wild rabbits whose main natural food is flowers, bark, grass, herbs, leaves, fruit and roots. They consume a very limited amount of grains and usually only in late summer and early autumn. The rabbit’s digestive system does not function properly in case of consuming excessive quantities of grain. In order to ensure a balanced diet standard rabbit feed and hay should be supplemented with our collections of herbs, leaves, bark, fruit, roots etc. These delicacies can be fed to rabbits separately or as a blend in compliance with rabbit’s taste. We would strongly recommend the Energy line. Guinea pigs
The guinea pig is a typical rodent, feeding during the day and at dusk. Domesticated guinea pigs come from the line of guinea pigs living on steppes of South America. They live in groups which consist of many females, one male and their offspring. They eat continuously , and their main food is all kinds of grass, herbs, leaves, bark, roots and fruit. Food which contains much vitamin C is particularly important because, contrary to rabbits, their organisms are not able to produce vitamin C. The selection of our products will ensure appropriate nourishment for your guinea pig. We highly recommend "Rosehip" and "Hibiscus Flower" as an excellent source of vitamin C. Every guinea pig’s favourite delicacy is "Crunchy Vegetables". We also suggest buying „Complete food for Guinea Pigs” and the whole line of Energy products.
Chinchillas Chinchillas, like guinea pigs, come from South America. In their natural environment they live in the highlands of the Andes in a dry climate, so they are sensitive to excessive moisture. They stand temperature changes very well, though. Chinchillas, contrary to guinea pigs, are typical nocturnal animals. They spend much time on feeding and they love movement. Due to the fact that they come from a dry climate which brings about poor vegetation, these animals eat modest food but rich in raw fibre. Their typical food is grasses, leaves, roots, flowers, seeds and barks. Pet chinchillas, contrary to chinchillas bred for fur, should not receive high-calorie food with a large content of proteins. In addition to our "Complete food for Chinchillas", we particularly recommend "Herbal Food for Chinchillas", "Chinchillas’ Fruit Salad" and as a delicacy "Flower Garden for Chinchillas" and "Chinchillas’ Dream ". Don't forget about homogeneous(?) herbs, fruit, sticks and aromatic hay! Octodon degus Degus are typical rodents coming from Chile. They are anatomically related to guinea pigs. In their natural environment they live in burrows in which they usually spend the night. They are very active animals. Octodon degus, like chinchillas, in their natural environment eat food rich in raw fibre such as: grasses, herbs, leaves, barks, roots, and seeds. Their digestive system takes from this food a sufficient quantity of nutrients, indispensable for appropriate development. Food low in sugar is extremely important for Octodon degus, because it prevents diseases of their digestive system and obesity which results from the excess of sugar and starch. It is recommended to give Octodon degus large quantities of dry grasses, leaves, herbs, flowers, barks and roots but small amounts of dried vegetables, particularly carrot. As for rabbits, guinea pigs and chinchilla, basic food for Octodon degus, is hay, which should be always accessible. It is also important as building material used to build their nests. From our products we recommend "Complete food for Degus" , "Dandelion" as a single herb, "Dandelion and Marigold", "Field Picnic", " Degu’s Vegetable Mix" , and especially "Jerusalem Artichoke" as a natural pre-biotic, exceptionally rich in insulin which is a simple sugar (superbly assimilable by diabetics). Hamsters In their natural environment hamsters live in Europe and Asia. They are loners, active at dusk and during the night. The main food for hamsters in the wild is seeds, fruit, bark and insects. These busy rodents like varied food very much. Aside from our "Complete Food for Hamsters" , we also recommend "Herbal Food for Hamsters" and blends of fruit and vegetables "" - "Fruity Muesli", "Vegetable Special Food for Rodents", "Tropical Snack". "Millet Cobs" are hamster’s favourite delicacy. Because of a very specific digestive system of the animals mentioned above, one must remember to provide them not only with access to proper food but also to fresh water. Here, we recommend tasty "Herb Drink" and "Fruity-Vegetable Drink" in an instant form – full of vitamins and mineral components indispensable for appropriate functioning and development of our pets. Pets just love them! However, “Fruity-Vegetable Drink” is not recommended for Octodon degus.
